MYPH is an architecture office founded in 2010 by María Dolores Yáñez and Pablo Hormazábal in the city of Valparaíso, Chile. Its work encompasses built and unbuilt projects of different scales, both private and public, through direct commissions, competitions, and institutional collaborations. The office understands architecture as a practice that articulates the common good, privileging open and collaborative processes with those who will inhabit the projects. In parallel, its partners develop academic activities as design studio professors in architecture schools in the city of Viña del Mar. Their work has been published and recognized nationally and internationally, sustaining to this day a continuous practice between professional work and disciplinary research.


Dolores is an architect from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, with undergraduate studies at the Escola Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura de Barcelona, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. She is currently a design studio professor at the School of Architecture of Universidad Andrés Bello (Campus Creativo) and at the School of Architecture of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso.
Pablo is an architect from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, with undergraduate studies at the Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade do Porto. He holds a Master’s degree in Architecture from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and is a design studio professor at the School of Architecture of Universidad Andrés Bello (Campus Creativo).
